Our program, the in person TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, is a certifi- cation that will allow you to teach English in academies and in thousands of centers abroad or on- line since it is an internationally recognized diploma and a requirement for many countries to teach English, therefore, we take care of training our students for English teaching jobs. We also provide job placement assistance. Our main objective is to train you and help you teach English in Argentina, online or abroad, therefore it is mandatory to comply with the following rules:
- Our TEFL Program in Buenos Aires is an intensive program with 130 hours in total, 100 methodology hours and 30 hours of practicum, out of which 10 are observations and 20 are teaching practice sessions. Our program lasts for 5 weeks, the initial 4 weeks are entirely dedicated to TEFL and the remaining week is for Spanish classes and teaching practice sessions.
- We require all individuals to present a clean criminal record and a health statement before starting the program with us. We require healthy individuals to participate since cooperating language schools and institutes also demand it as well as families when teaching English to children.
- Payment is available during job placement, after the 5 week TEFL Course via our network of employers and is only available for TEFL graduates. There is no payment included before graduation since this is an intensive academic program with international recognition. Validated provider number 4619021 by TQUK.
- Buenos Aires TEFL is a program of mutual recommendation. This means our institute will recommend you as a skilled Teacher to organizations looking to hire Teachers but we would also require your recommendation since our program has a very positive feedback from previous participants and this has always been an agreement of mutual understanding.
- We do not offer a visa or a work visa and this is not advertised either. Our employers can offer contracted work but this is under their own terms.
- It is absolutely prohibited to drink alcohol or consume other substances during the program and this is enough reason for us to remove you from our program, without any refund whatsoever same as if you fail the same academic examination twice.
- It is compulsory to read the textbook English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy beforehand. This has been clearly explained during the virtual interview, before the program started.
- Teaching practices are 20 hours minimum since it is a requirement to most employers and each teaching practice hour is a module of 2 hours given the fact this is the minimum found in real life practices.
- You will receive the TEFL diploma if you have a good behavior during the program, pass all examinations, observe for at least 10 hours and teach for at least 20.
- Only people holding a TEFL diploma have the right to access to employers, employers meetings at our institute and to other recommendations, based on mutual understanding. People without a TEFL diploma wanting to access to our network from employers will be sued.
- Our program lasts 5 weeks and 130 hours. The first 4 weeks are dedicated to TEFL and the last week to the in person Spanish classes and practicum.
- Defamation is a crime in Argentina, under the current law articles 109 and 110. If you defame our school in any means of communication, we will notify all authorities and remove your certificate validity.
